Configuring Eclipse

Unfortunately and despite it is a very convenient IDE (written in Java, so you can use it on Windows as well), the package with Eclipse does not contain all the features we need it to have. So we have to use the built-in mechanism to install some additional plugins.

The Eclipse update-mechanism is very easy to use and provides the means for doing so. You can simply add resource-sites and it will offer you the software you can install from there. To add a resource we have to open Eclipse and click

Help → Install New Software... → Add...

There, you can enter a site and give it a name, we consider the following site useful (if not essential):

You may now want to configure your MPI environement.
